When National Projects Demands Excellence
UK Government • Accelerated Capability Environment (ACE)
For years, we've served as a trusted supplier within the UK Government's Accelerated Capability Environment (ACE), delivering mission-critical software solutions for law enforcement and national security. Our work has covered agencies such as the Home Office, FCDO, Defra and policing in areas such as helping to dismantle organised crime networks, enhance evidence collection to increase prosecution rates, and tools that help to keep vulnerable communities safe. This is the quiet work that matters most, where failure isn't an option and success is measured in justice served.

The Stakes Couldn't Be Higher
Organised crime doesn't just threaten public safety, it undermines society itself. From drug trafficking to human exploitation, criminal networks operate with sophistication that demands equally sophisticated responses. UK law enforcement agencies needed technology partners who could deliver secure, reliable systems capable of processing sensitive intelligence, analysing complex criminal networks, and presenting evidence that would stand up in court.
The Requirements:
- Handle highly classified and sensitive data with absolute security
- Process massive volumes of intercepted communications
- Extract actionable intelligence from encrypted criminal networks
- Present evidence in formats that meet legal standards
- Delivered with full reliability. In this environment system failures significantly compromise active operations
- Work within strict government frameworks and security protocols
Award-Winning Evidence Analysis
When European law enforcement agencies infiltrated the EncroChat encrypted communications network used by organised crime groups, they intercepted multiple-millions of messages from criminal organisations across the continent. The challenge: transforming this raw data deluge into courtroom-ready evidence that could dismantle criminal networks.
Adappt were chosen to develope an award-winning software to process, analyse, and present EncroChat evidence for UK law enforcement. The system needed to handle the complexity of encrypted communications, link individuals to criminal activities, establish chains of evidence, and present findings in ways that prosecutors and juries could understand.
Technical Challenges:
- Volume: Processing millions of intercepted messages
- Complexity: Untangling communications across criminal networks
- Security: Protecting highly sensitive law enforcement data
- Legal Standards: Meeting evidential requirements for prosecution
- Usability: Making complex data accessible to investigators
Our Approach:
Adappt built a suite of sophisticated analysis tools that combined data processing, network visualisation, and evidence presentation. Called PinPoint, this enabled investigators to efficiently trace criminal communications, identify key players in organised crime networks, establish timelines of criminal activity, and generate court-ready evidence packages.
The Impact:
The software was reported to turn 'weeks and months into hours and minutes' by one front line user. By turning raw intercepted data into compelling evidence, we helped officers identify criminality within the datasets provided.
This work earned Home Office recognition with an award for innovation in law enforcement technology.
Increasing Prosecution Success
Beyond evidence analysis, we further developed a proof-of-concept platform called PinPoint for VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) to include AI & LLMs to enhance functionality. This platform was specifically designed to increase prosecution rates for crimes against women such as domestic abuse, and serious sexual assault.
The Need:
Prosecuting such crimes presents unique challenges. Cases often involve complex, sensitove evidence, vulnerable witnesses, and the need for specialised investigative approaches. Law enforcement needed better tools to manage these sensitive cases and improve prosecution outcomes.
Our Solution:
Adappt developed PinPoint to provide investigators with specialised case management, evidence tracking, and prosecution support tailored to the unique requirements of these cases. The platform streamlines investigation workflows, ensures nothing falls through the cracks, and helps build stronger cases for prosecution.
The Results:
PinPoint has successfully shown how technologies can readily increase prosecution rates for crimes against vulnerable groups, helping law enforcement deliver justice for those who need it most.

What We Have Learnt Through ACE Government Work
Years of delivering for UK Government law enforcement and security agencies have taught us invaluable lessons applicable to all mission-critical work.
Precision Matters
In law enforcement, ambiguity or errors can compromise prosecutions or operations. This demand for precision has made us better at all we do.
Security is Fundamental
Secure by Design is paramount. It must be designed in from the first line of code. Government work reinforced this truth in every project.
Users Under Pressure
Investigators managing complex cases don't have time for confusing interfaces or unreliable systems. Intuitive usability under pressure became our obsession.
Mission First
Technology serves a purpose beyond itself. Understanding and respecting that mission guides every technical decision we make.
The Quiet Work That Counts
We'll never be able to publicly discuss most of what we've built for UK law enforcement. We can't name specific operations supported, cases won, or criminals apprehended using our systems. That's the nature of security work.
But we can say this: when the UK Government needs technology to fight organised crime, protect vulnerable populations, and keep communities safe, they have seen that Adappt delivers.
The official government case study "Delivering Beyond Expectations" isn't marketing—it's recognition earned through years of reliable delivery on work that truly matters.
This is what we mean when we say: "When It Has to Work, It Has to Be Adappt."
Serving Organisations Where Failure Isn't an Option
If your organisation faces challenges where security, reliability, and mission success are 'non-negotiable', whether government, healthcare, finance, or other critical sectors, Adappt will bring the same rigor and commitment we've demonstrated serving UK law enforcement. We can't share war stories from classified work, but we can share the lessons learned and apply that expertise to your critical challenges.
